I would stay with the stock plugs because you can't get too much better than them. They are iridium plugs which are very good plugs. For engine oil, go with some 5W - 20 Royal Puple. You should also check into the Royal Purple ATF for your tranny. I've heard great things about that but haven't had a chance to run it in my auto tranny yet. I'm due for a tranny flush and that's what I'm going to put in it.

Stock spark plugs are about the best you can get. They're NGK Iridiums. Expensive to replace, but they last about 90k miles.

No need to really swap the stock plugs before you have a crapload of miles. Do you want to just change them to change them? If so....don't. No need to, the stock iridiums (believe it or not) are really the best ones.

What everyone else has already said is true. OEM plugs are the best you are going to get for our cars because of who makes them.

There are only two plugs that are compatible with our cars:

Denso IKH20

NGK 3656 (OEM: #LZFR6AI)

They will both run you about $10-12 a plug becaue they are iridium. Don't go to the dealer because they will charge $100 for all 4!!! I've tried both and the Denso's started misfiring after about 10K miles, so I went back to the NGK's and have never had a problem.

if you race your car alot or just get on it alot how soon do you guys think we should replace them, cause my car is 2 and a half years old now and i do get on it alot so i would think that the plugs would need to be changed more offten then the average driver?

and im more then willing to pay 40-60 bucks for a new set of ngk's but not if they arnt needed yet.

If you're not sure you can visually inspect them, however, they should be just fine for 90k miles, no matter what your driving style.

you can visually inspect them... Get a good gap guage (feeler guages work well) and visually look at the electrode and porcelane (sp) and measure the gap... Should be listed under the hood, though i have never checked on this partular vehicle...
