eyelids driving me crazy...

ok, so i had my these eyelids for a lil while now. they were just painted and i couldnt wait to put them on. i always had a problem with how the headlights were shaped and figured the eyelids would give it the aggressive makeover that it needed. after i put them on and see what they look like in person, they don't look very appealing. it gives it a really cheap look, like something a honda would have. i couldnt even stand to leave them on and this was something i wanted for a long time. i'm not sure if its just my paranoia or...i dont know. maybe the carbon fiber ones will look better. anyone else feel the same way i do now about the eyelids?

They only look good from certain angles, and from others, it's really obvious that they're just taped on. I took mine off after awhile, too.

Eyelids

I couldnt agree more i had the eyelids for my phoenix red ralliart and i was excited as could be when i got them, then when i put them on it just wasnt what i was looking for they looked cheap and like said before just taped on. Then recently after washing my car one of them began to peel off and flew off eventually on the freeway so i took them off and yes it left marks on my light covers but it looks like with a little bit of love they will come off i havent gave it the attempt yet ill let you know how it comes off.

I'd have to agree they look very crappy and cheap. Again I still can't see why people don't like these headlamps maybe they are all too in love with evo headlamps :]

I waited one month to get mines ,pay a lot for them and installed them only to enjoy them a week ! one of them (the one that came bended flew away on the highway and thats all ,end of story removed the tape and the crazy glue from the headlights and now theres only the mark of the tape. Eyelids rest in peace.amen

u guys are making me feel alot better lol. i dont think i wanna keep them on. what is the point of getting projectors- it is the shape of the headlight that bothers me not the inside.

i bought a pair from a member on here used. I'm not going to say any names, but they're CF, and he said they were basically in mint condition. I got them in the mail after sending him 40$, and it looks like they were hand cut, then to top it off there was chips in it and everything. Now he isn't replying my PM's so i'ma try to contact him another way. I'm very dissapointed in the purchase...

First I had painted lids and after about a month, yeah, they looked like crap and had that stuck on look with rough fiberglass edges.

I live in San Diego, close to Carbon by Design, so I drove by their shop and had them test fit some CF lids for me. WOW, what a difference! Seriously, the quality was perfect, edges nice and smooth, and I loved how they actually wrapped around the tops and side of the lenses to stop light leakage and gave it a more professional look.

I've had them on for over 50,000 miles now with just 3M tape and have never had a prob with them. Maybe paint scheme makes a difference, buy I really like how the CF contrasts my silver.
