Go buy an exhaust if it bothers you that much.

hey peterdaniel! to your question of will it get louder as the miles goes on, yes it will.

OMG YES IT WILL!!! Ralliart's have a sport tuned exhaust and until your ralliart is broken in it will be quiet until it gets good use, and milage.

let me start off by telling you that when I first got my ralliart in 2004 of july, I drove the ralliart off the lot (brand new with only 8 miles on it) and literally scartched my head because the ralliart was VERY QUIET and I thought that the ralliart's were supposed to be kinda loud, deep sounding, in which it wasn't at all at the time.

My ralliart did not get loud, deep sounding untiL a year after having my ra and HOLY **** IT'S GOD DAMN DEEP AND NOTICEABLE NOW!!

A few things I did that you may wanna consider is every now and then rev up your engine to break your exhaust in. I especially noticed a difference by washing my car, spraying a little water into the exhaust and then immediatley revin it up to clean out some **** and like I said break it in.

Hope this helps, but yeah.. give it time and you will HEAR A MAJOR DIFFERENCE!

I will post a sound clip for yout to see.

Thanks!!!! SlvrRalliart... That is EXACTLY what I was thinking after I hopped out of my '05 with 8K miles on it into a brand new 26 mile '06.. As I was driving out of the lot, I was like... $h*t did they give me a ES by mistake?? it was and is sooooooo quiet and man do I LOVE the rumbling sound of the ralliart so I am quite upset about it. I don't want to get an exhaust as I love the stock one already! It really makes the car!

Thanks again for the understanding.

ALL GOOD HOMIE

like i said, just give it time and do what I previously said about spraying water into your exhaust and revin it up immediatly after spraying.

I do not have any cai or exhaust and it's very loud, deep sounding. give it time!

alright peter, i know you really want to know the answer.. but there isn't a need to post up 2 or more posts about the same thing...

As for the exhaust yes, i used to have sound clips of my exhaust before when i bought it and about 10K miles down the line and it does sound louder.

well for me.. key word.. used to have them.. haha i wiped my computer and got rid of it. Also i have the RRM catback now so its undoubtedly louder than normal.. also if you get a catback you'll notice what some of us are talking about as faar as breaking it in. My catback got a lot louder after like 200 miles of hard driving on it...

So what I am really curious about now is; what is it that "breaks in" that makes it sound louder? Is it the packing in the resonators or ??

Lets hear those sound clips if anyone has one... I might just make my own for future reference.

And BTW, did it happen suddenly or very gradually?

Thanks again!

well, it takes some time for the metal to get conditioned to the heat cycles... I don't have a technical answer, but I know every exhaust I have ever made, had made or purchased took some time to get a certain tone...

Want a loud car?
Get a CAI, and cut off the muffler. That will make it loud as hell, kinda like an angry beehive.

You already have a thread on this topic, you don't need another one. It's beyond me why this is so hard for people to comprehend lately. It's VERY aggravating.
