Hey guys,
I have a couple mods on my car now(listed on my sig).. problem is my 30,000 mile check up is coming soon. I had all the parts professionaly installed. So my question is should i pay to get them removed.. just to get my checkup.. than pay to get them installed again? I do want to know how my car is doing to see if there are any problems. I know i can just do all the installs myself, problem is im not sure how, i tried with the Downpipe, i just couldnt get the leverage to get the stock one off.
I am however very interested in getting the turbo kit soon.. so i know that will void the warrenty. I want my car to run at its fullest, so i would like to know what problems i should be worried about, and to do that i have to get the checkup done. IS it worth it to keeping taking off the parts and bringing it in for checkups?

My dealer told me that if they see my car come in with aftermarket parts on it, it will be noted. So if you go in later, and need something replaced under warranty potentially caused by an aftermarket part, they will hem you up, and they'll use the "aftermarket parts" excuse.
Take it to another garage (non-dealership). They should have no problem looking into the same things for you. In my experience, I got a better price for the same thing. You just need to provide proof to the dealership that you maintained your car to their expectations. If you have a problem, show them your paper work and you should be fine.
That's what I was told by my buddy who works at a dealership.

Correct the dealership can not make you service the car there. As long as the regular mantience is done and you have records of it your fine
ohh nice.. but the 30,000 is a big check up.. long list.
do i need everything on that list to be checked in order for mitsu to approve of it?
thanks for the feedback..

I do know that where I work, If you come in for regular services and oil changes and something happens that may or may not be warrantied, we look at previous maintenance with OUR dealer... We tend to warranty more things for loyal customers than people just passing through... Regardless of Mods....
Do get the 30K at the dealership...
