"Dupli-Color Shield"??

Ok... I'm wondering anyone has used this stuff... I don't have a 3M clear bra... yet... and I'm going on a very long road trip in a few weeks (San Angelo, TX to Bangor, Maine)... I'm bound to get rock chips and more. This stuff claims to be a protective barrier and washes off with a pressure washer... w/o washing off in rain. I'm just concerned it will leave stains of some type... I have a labrador black model. Any input?

those bras do more damage than good since they will hold dust, rain, etc under them and vibrate against the body something fierce at highway speeds.. You wil get scratcehs from them... At least I have in the past adn will never use one again....

Uhhh... not kind of bra. I think you are talking about those big black fabric ones you velcro on to the front of the car?!!!

The 3M one is like a giant, thin, clear, decal you attach to the lower hood and bumper. The idea behind it is that road debris will take nicks and scratches out of it instead of the paint. Then every year, you just pull it off and put a new one on thus saving your paint.

I've seen pics of old ones coming off and it's amazing how much pitting they take!!! The Dupli-Color one I guess is a spray-on, but I haven't heard any feedback on these either.

This company sells the 3m Invisible Mask (see link below). There are several terms for the clear paint protection film. Invisishield, clearshield, invisible bra.
I had a clearshield on my Eclipse. Good stuff, but you can see the edge lines really good on darker cars.

Link

I haven't heard about or seen anyone use the duplicolor stuff.....although I am curious to see how it works.

My 3m clear bra has a lifetime warranty on it so I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be pulled up every year. They replace it for free if anything goes wrong with it.
