Help!!

I bought my ra about 4 days ago. when i got it was raining. yesterday i noticed that the carpet behind the drivers seat was soaking wet, almost puddlish. i dried it up with a towel and looked around were it could be coming in. under the floormat of the drivers seat was a little bit moist. my driveway is uphill. im guessing that the water was coming in from the front and leaking down the the back seat.

when i got the car it had just under 3000 miles on it. it got in a smallish rear accident. they had to replace the back bumber, passenger side tailight, spoiler, and back passenger side fender. i though the leak would be coming from the back somewere but why would the front be a little wet to. unless it was geting wet in the back and leking a little bit towards the front?

tomarrow im ganna take it in to the autobody shop that i got it from to look at it.
does anyone have any ideas?

help my car.

Sunroof? I don't know where it drains but I've heard if they get clogged the first place it goes is the back.

ya im suposed to get that patched up because they patched it up fro the accident and there was a little water geting through. the bottom the the rear window has water on it on the inside. that might be were the waters coming from, but how would that leak to the carpet?
earlier i sprayed it down with the hose to see were it was leaking in from. i couldt tell were it was coming in from. untill i noticed the back window. they reaplaced that to i believe. cause i dont think the back defrosters were working. the first night i had it inoticed the inside windows were very foggy and i looked aroung the parking lot at work and noone elses windows were foggy, its probably because of all the moisture in it.

do u think its that back window were the waters coming in from?. there was no repair work anywere else besides the back.

I think you have a lemon and you need to get rid of it.

What is your back story?

Did you recently purchase this car used?

Personally i would get my money back. Chances are the interior is already ruined considering the amount of water that has already entered the vehicle. There is a lot of material and it is all probably soaking wet. Check with the lemon law, this is a serious matter.

Good reason not to buy a car that has been in a wreck.

if they say they can fix it, il let them.it took me too long to find a car i could afford and the condition that it is in is great besides the water situation. the only wetness in the car is the floor carpet in back. i mean theres nothing wrong with it at all. and im no mechanic or car specialist but i do believe that this can be fixed and it will be fine afterwards. im taking it back tomarow for them to look at it. i just hope i get all good news

well when you go to sell the car (if you do) and somebody inspects the vehicle they will obviously be able to see that the car has been water damaged. Also I hope you have your doors open in your garage or your carpet is going to mold. I would try to get your money back. They are going to have to rip the car apart to find the leak. I've honestly never heard of a car leaking and soaking the floor.
