i think something with the downpipe, being a single bent and two bends becomin one- something like that.

Also someone commented a while back that the headers on the 05 are slightly larger but im not sure if that is tru.

Hope this helps :/

Some 05 Ralliarts had the 4:1 header and 1:1 downpipe. I think in 05 they also made the side airbags a standard feature, in 04 it was optional.

Exhausts seem to be the primary diifference with 04s and 05s. Otter hit it on the head.

Yeah I think side airbags only became standard for 2006. A related question, is the 2006 exhaust the same as 2005? Or I guess, are there any mechanical changes for 2006 or were they all minor cosmetic things inside/out?

Sideview Mirrors Heated??

Are our sideview mirrors supposed to be heated? My 04 had fogged up sideview mirrors today, and I never had that kind of problem with my 05 RA. I turned on the rear defroster to see if the sideview mirrors would heat up (they didn't). Do 05 RAs have heated mirrors??

Heated side mirrors are standard equipment for vehicles sold in Canada. Not even an option in the US, even though some of us live where it snows.

Your knowledge astounds me. I better go buy some anti-fog or something. The morning mist takes a long time to clear up on these mirrors. I wonder why I never had that problem on my 05 RA though. odd.

ddcha, your dealer might have applied some rain-x or something to the mirrors as part of their prep.

teknix, it's just not fair, is it?

Looking through the wiring diagrams, I'm wondering if the necessary wiring is there for heated side mirrors on the US cars. All they do is tap a little bit of power from the relay that powers the rear window defroster, and route it through the same big plugs that connect the door wiring for the power windows and locks. Then it's just a matter of buying the mirrors and plugging them in.

Hmmmm...

I went through this last year, but ultimately I found that the Canadian mirrors are too expensive, and it's very very hard to find them used. The wiring is all there, though.
