I restarted the ecu and now the fuel cut at 5k is gone but yea It seems like there's not enough gas during the low rpms. The Mivec kicks in hard though with the Pb on. The mivec kicks in a lot harder but low rpms sucks, dont feel any torque. I know I need a tune but cant afford it yet and dont want to do it myself, i'll prbly f*** my car up..

I came very close to doing the same thing, but then I noticed that there were two wires of the same color in opposite corners of that plug, and had to figure out which one it was by looking at the wires that were near each of them.

Yea I figured that out from another thread lol..Now the car feels totally different, I dont like the weak low rpms though, maybe because I have my custom CBE instead of an axelback which the PB is tuned for. I'll probably try to learn how to use the program to practice tunings but I dont want to buy a wideband because its a bit pricey for that little thing lol..If its not iimpossilbe tuning safely without the wideband, I would defenitly learn how to tune it myself..anyways. How the F*** do you connect the PB to the laptop? Was I suppose to buy another connector from RRM? I thought it came with it.. Just looking at the PB there is no output to a laptop at all. Well just wondering, if anyone can give me tips on tuning my car I would really really really appreciate it. I know there are other threads about tuning the PB but they are too professional, I need like the directions and pointers for a noob lol. I really want to learn if its possible.

For now the car runs alright, I prbly going to reset the ECU again another time and see if there is any difference, I love the Mivec now though hehe..But I know there is more potential out of the PB if I tune it right. Would Rock or anyone else give tuning lessons on evolutionm ? that would be nice hehe..Most people like me would like he step to step thingy hehe..

Thx people, evolutionm is very useful

To get at the connector you need to take the lid off, a couple screws hold it on.

Oh, what kind of connector? Was rrm suppost to give me one? I read the manual and it talks about some kind of connector to your laptop but I dont know how it looks like. For the ones who tuned their PB by yourselves, give me tips plz.

It's a 9-pin female serial connector. You'll need a straight-through cable that can attach that to your laptop's serial port.

If your laptop doesn't have a serial port, you'll need a USB-serial adapter in addition to the cable.

RRM doesn't supply the cable or adapter with the piggyback.

EDIT: pic of a 9-pin female serial port:

You open the whole ECU there is a plug for a serial to usb cable you will need R4 Software and a wideband(datalog) to tune it yourself.

The PB came with the R4 software already. RRM said its recommended for you to use a wideband, Adam ur saying that you need it? I know to do serious tuning you'll need the wideband but RRM made it sound like the wideband is optional lol..
Have you guys tuned your PB yourselves? If so, I'm gonna need some help later on.

Unless RRM knows a way to find out "proper" AFR without a wideband. I suggest buying the Zeitronix wideband since it is the best bang for the buck. the best you can do is read and read a lot, tuning the PB isn't really that easy.

You must have a wideband to tune it yourself, not optional.

Oh, so i'm looking about atleast $200 on the wideband, Wouldn't that be enough to get the shop to tune it for me alraedy? I dont quite know how they do it at the tune shop but i saw in another thread someone said it costs about $125 an hour depending where you at..just wondering.

Yup, shop is cheaper, especially if you think you'll only need your car tuned once, and/or don't have the time and motivation to learn how to do it yourself.

Isn't the SRI good for low rpm's? Maybe that is something you could look into getting.
