The lifters on the MIVEC motor are quite noisy. working for mitsu, we hear complaints quite often. The 4g63s have the same, sometimes much noisier. not really much u can do about it. Especially if its mostly on a cold start, oil is very thick and wont flow properly thru the lifters until its warm enough.
