Shift Knobs - Whaddaya think?
/\ yeah I agree on that also. I have the Greddy CW knob and I think it a great buy. only downside is that it gets really really hot when left in the sun and when you drive in the cold its like shifting with an ice cube in your hands. you can put like a sock... -lol- what I sometimes did... over it or some covering. I have heard people just taking it with them and I personally just use some racing gloves. either way go with Greddy CW
i have the greddy, and to be honest i haven't been too impressed. It looks decent, feels good, and has a good price, but if you want a knob that truly feels good and looks way better than oem get a momo one. if those are your only two, definitely go for the greddy! The razo looks a little too apc-ish
Just get a nice short throw shifter (B&M non-adjustable is what I use), a set of underhood shifter link bushings and shifter base bushings (Kartboy is what I use), and then use the OEM Evo shift knob.
The shifter height is a lot less and it feels a lot crisper and more responsive when speed matching downshifts at high RPMs. The shifter is now angled slightly toward the driver, which is a nice touch. Overall I'm really happy with this combination. I've tried all kinds of aftermarket shift knobs in the past (mostly on one of my Eclipse GSX's or another) and they all leave something to be desired. Metal, no matter what kind of metal it is, will at one temperature or another feel like junk in your hand. It might be fine in the summer, but wait until winter...Or maybe it will be the other way around. Derlin would be a good material choice if you wanted aftermarket, and Dent Sport has a really nice Derlin shift knob that isn't all bling-tastic or ricerboy-ish. In the end, though, I've found that leather wrapped shift knobs are the best all around for most situations. Unless you've got people to impress or need to compensate for an unfortunately small appendage, you don't need a polished-titanium-with-carbon-kevlar-wrapped-around-the-top shift knob.

IM usin a RAZO one at present ..... i like it better than the standard 'ES' one (too bulky for my liking). It's weighed nicely at around same or just slightly more than standard ..... YES, a short shifter is on the way. (and door was apart for sound deadening before u ask).
I've gone through a lot of shift knobs since I got my car. First I went to some crappy Canadian Tire knob which used screws to hold itself to the shifter, needless to say it didn't last long. After that I got a short shifter and used the knob that came with it (Authority knob I think). From there I went to a Kartboy shift knob, then a Greddy Long Style knob and now I'm onto the stock evo leather knob. I can honestly say that the stock evo knob is the best in terms of feel, since it's leather it's grippy and it doesn't get roasting hot or freezing cold when the temperature changes.
