My RA Sportback have some annoying rattling sounds from both doors too.

Someday, when I win the local L0TT0 I will take out all the door panels & trim and put it back piece by piece until I found the cause!

LOL!!!

The only thing that rattles on my car is the rear deck when I hit a driveway at an angle. Or it could be the rear sway bar, kinda hard to tell.

That's because you drive with your stereo full blast. A lancer without rattles is like a man without a soul.

Here's the list of the most popular rattle from an Ra. :P

1- Glove box, there's some noise at the passenger side, a noise like 2 screw shaking on plastic.
Correction : Cut the two slice of pastic of the glove box.

2- Instrument cluster, the glass shake on the case of the cluster.
Correction : Seal the glass then keep it tight with the case. Put also some foam on the fixation of the cluster.

3- Winshield moulding clips, There's a tsb on it. There's some noise when driving. Noise is coming from side of windshield.
Correction : Remove the moulding and put some foam to stop the sound.

4- Doors panel, There's also a tsb. Noise from panel when music is playing.
Correction : put foam like the tsb said.

For the rattle that comes from the the driver seatbelt. I've seen this problem one time on a 2005 lancer Es. I test drive many time and I remove one trim after one trim until I arrived to the seatbelt. The problem was already there. So we order a new seat belt. It stop the problem for over 70%. But even with the new, we shake it and heard the little sound of the rattle. There's nothing to do with that. It's better than the first day but...

And for the dash rattle , there's nothing to do except if you have 2hours and half to remove all the dash and put foam near the window and on the pin that support it and put all back .

So I hope it will help some of you .
