Okay, it didn't *quite* go down how it sounded in my first post.

I was on my way over to my best friend's house when I saw another friend's Evo on the side of the road, already well covered in mud, and him another friend out in a field, buried up to the body of his RX-8 in mud.

There was another guy out there with a 4x4 Blazer, but they didn't have a strap to pull the RX-8 out with. I ran home and got a strap and my camera, 'cause this was too funny to not get pictures of. They tried pulling the RX-8 out, only to get the Blazer stuck. They unhooked the strap, and then the Blazer was (barely) able to drive out of the ruts it was in, throwing mud all over the Mazda in the process.

Along came an older guy in a Dodge Ram 1500 4x4, thinking he'd be able to pull the the RX-8 out. He got stuck, too. We were able to pull on the strap tug-of-war style with it tied between the Ram and the RX-8 and pull the car out, but the truck was still stuck, so we had to call up a tractor.

By the time everything had gotten unstuck and back out to the road, the friend who owns the Evo said I could take it for a spin around the field if I wanted to. I said, "No, I couldn't possibly do that to- Okay."

I would NEVER do that to a friend's car without them telling me it was okay.

First time my buddy asked me to drive his Evo I asked "are you sure?". He replied "yeah....let's see what you can do with it and I will ride along".

After a couple of 4 wheel drifts along our spirited drive, it took awhile to get the mud stains out of his pants.
His name on here is SmokedMustang. To this day he says I am the only "guest driver" that has made him truely scared.

honestly ive tought my friend how to drive his evo *now he drives it better than me* and im not being cocky but i can definitely drive it better then some of thier own owners. My friend allowed me to go nearly all out with his 11sec. evo*at the time* Thats enough power to raise your skill level. And most evos arent at that level. The other day I was at Taco Bell and there was an EVO and the owner yelled whos FAKE EVO is that!?!?! at my car as he left so I stood up and yelled back if I had an EVO its wouldnt be STOCK!!! he looked pissed and peeled off with his STOCK evo. Neways the whole point is, its not the car its the DRiVER!!!

i think we've all been told we have fake evo's. you never here anyone tell a wrx driver "whos fake sti is this?" whats the deal....

the worst i got was when i was thinking of taking the spoiler off or put an evo wing on all of my friends said evo wings look stupid

 

you should give the evo back to your buddy as is, and look at his reaction, when he asks, tell him you hit a dog hahaha...

HAHA I ended up taking the car to AMS for a tune shortly after me and mark terrorized that corn field and Eric came up to me as they were straping it down to the dyno and says "Did you know that there is corn stalks sticking out of your intercooler!!!?" I replied YEAP!
