Evo Sun Roof on RA?

Im possibly in the process of buying an evo's sun roof with all the parts to install on my RA. just curious if any one knows if there will be any mounting or fitting problems and is a aftermarket ... or oem i guess sun roof installed after purchase a good idea as far as leaking or other problems?

All the sun roof job's i've seen have been prone to leaking.. also you risk possible problems in the future as far as water tightness etc.

just think about it, they're cutting a hole in a roof that wasn't designed to have one.

factory oem sunroofs have extra support up top, they're different from ones without a sunroof.

All sunroofs are aftermarket, even the ones that come from the "factory." Just make sure the one you're getting is quality and the installer has a good rep and they provide a warranty. A 5 year one should be no big deal.

yeah, maybe the materials/motor, but factory installed sunroofs have better bracing and a stronger roof structure to support the sunroof.

aftermarket sunroof installers may do a good job with sealing them well, but they just cut into a roof not meant for one. you're risking the structural integrity of the car. even factory roofs leak, so why risk potential problems with aftermarket.
