Arrow Pod Filter popped out..

Hey fellas,

So I went to install the new pod filter and by my surprise, my pod filter was not on the intake pipe. It was sitting there in the corner on the splash guard but without being attached to the intake pipe.

I was like "wtf.."

Anyway, I think it happened 3 weeks ago when I was reversing out of a driveway and I hit the gutter on the pod filter side and I'm sure it must've popped out.

Been off for roughly three weeks.

Is this bad? I read a thread about some guy who did the same thing and I think it was okay so long it wasn't for like a long long while.

Anything I should know?

I think you should be okay as long as no rocks or big particles went in. Maybe use something to clean the piping out just in case...

Yeah I checked the piping, a bit dusty, but I guess thats normal for every CAI.

As for the particles, I think if any big particles went in, it should've went in by now. Drove it around for a while and everything seemed smooth.

Yeah, if anything big went in, you'd already know about it. Nothing you can do about small stuff going in except burning it off.

should be fine, if it was gonna happen it would happen already,
but as already stated u should do a thourough clean of the pipe
if it was SRI i thini it would have been worse, but cai has longer for dust to travel and it might not make it up there

As per otter said, it'll burn off, from the fuel anyway. Cheers mate.

Come to think of it the same thing happened to me when i first installed my AEM cai. The connection between the bypass valve and the piping came loose and i drove it around for like a month before i found out. There was bug wings, web-looking stuff, and dirt all up in there but ya just washed it out and tightened that baby back on. If you have trouble with the filter staying on, try wiping the part of the pipe that the filter clamps to with alcohol first before attatching the filter. There might have been some oil on it which caused it to slip off. Just a thought.
