Too Much Squeaking!

Hi everyone,

I am new to the Ralliart scene.... I just got my 04 RA about a month ago.
I have a few things that I would like some expet advice on

I have MAJOR squeaking coming from the back of my car... and I know that it's the bushings but when they are lubed it only lasts for a little while until they squeak again.

The contol arms have been replaced once under warranty, and the bushings arn't worn, they're just dry.

Also, my driver seat sqeaks like hell. It drives me crazy.

Any tips on would be appreciated.

As far as I know, there is no way to lube the bushings, unless a grease zerk was added by someone after the car left the manufacturer. Mine have also been replaced once under warranty, and are squeaking again. I am considering adding zerks to mine so I can shoot them with a little grease every so often, just haven't got around to doing it yet. I'm not even sure it's possible, but it probably is.

what's a grease zerk? I had the squeaking problem, they replaced both control arms in back, and apparently the newer style control arms prevent the squeaking... or so i read in another thread. Not sure though, but haven't had any squeaks yet. :: knocks on wood ::

How long ago did you both have your control arms replaced?

A zerk is a fitting attached to parts that allows you to inject grease into them with a grease gun.

I have had my control arm replaced, too, but not sure if it's making noise. Anywhere from 1-4 of my struts make noise, though.

i have the odd squeak and my control arms were replaced under warranty at like 40k or so. About the drivers seat squeak, i have that too. its really annoying. its only sometimes and it seems to be coming from the seatbelt buckle i think...once when it was really squeaking good i unbuckled my belt and its stopped, or if you just hold the buckle still it stops...strange. anyone know about any TSBs on this or something?

Greg

Well I'm going to have to bring it in to the dealer because I can't stand the squeaking anymore haha.

Also I had my 96k serivice done in Halifax before I drove it home, and now when I start the car and the engine is cold it makes a chirping noise.

I'm assuming that the timing belts may have loosened up a bit.

Any thoughts?
