I found a guy online who has a store on ebay, he makes and sells harness bars for lancers/evos and impreza/wrx/sti's and i think some civics. I bought one from him and I have to say it was a great quality product. Easy bolt in with no modification. heres some pics

And heres a link to his ebay auctions. I highly recommend this bar over the sparco which I think was overpriced and this one looks much more rugged.

I have a odd question about harness bars. I noticed that when they bolt up to the upper seat belt mount, it has to be done with the mount thing all the way down. Does one exist that'd made to fit with the seat belt thing all the way up? Or is it just assumed that all drivers are midgets?

but isn't that why the pieces that connect to the floor have adjustment?

Good q Otter, I know that the instructions that came w/ mine said to position the seatbelt where you wanted it to be because as long as the bar was there it would not be adjustable. I imagine there might be a little play there to put it up maybe 1 click or 2 at most because of the way the struts connect to the bar. I always had mine down pre-harness bar so I never really thought about it. maybe someone in the evo community can answer the q? or another ralliart owner w/ a bar?

Yeah, I always see them installed with the seatbelts down. Since the b-pillars get closer together as they reach the roof, I figured there wouldn't be much of any play unless you cut out a section of the bar and rewelded it, which would suck.

Let me go ahead and chime in here.....

If you all are trying to get some more safety with a little bit stiffer of a frame THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT TO DO...

Honestly, its stupid to put a harness bar in your car. Simply put, IF YOU FLIP FOR SOME REASON YOU DIE... game over. Its just a bad idea.

If your looking for improvements, invest in a rollbar. It will protect you from rollovers and stiffen up your chassis.

hope this helps

I just might take offense to that.

You shouldn't. You should be proud of being a midget.
