silly question...

please excuse my ignorance...

i've never seen the stock RA headers so i don't know if mine are stock or not.. I just got my white RA a while back.

I have some pics but I left my cell in the office.

if anyone has stock headers or can show me a picture that'd be GREAT! if not I'll post pics of the engine bay and you guys can tell me if they're stock or not. I still gotta lift it to see what the previous owner did to the exhaust.. sounds ricey below 3500rpm

do you think the $99 high flow cat will take the riceyness sound away? i won't be able to shell out cash for mods for a while

all in all, damn this thing is quick! i'm in love! handles wonderful!

that sign looks more and more sexy every day!

The stock header is a 4 into 2 tubular header that'll be a dark/rusted metal color. There'll likely be a heat sheild on it, unless it was removed.

Does the RRM downpipe have a bung for the wideband and narrowband?
Do you need a narrowband if you're using the SMT-6 controller? Anyone?

It has one bung welded in, if I'm not mistaken, as the 1st gen downpipe did.

yes and no, on the narrowband thing. the smt-6 can emulate a narrowband signal for your ecu, but the ecu does require the signal.

Yes that would be RRM....I remember driving with just a downpipe and no cat... talk about nasty rattling/tin can noise.

Do you have stock muffler? If not, install RRM axle back plus get a 24" Magnaflow resonator welded in. That should quiet it down quite a bit.

Where'd you get this car... who knows what other mods you have?!

I got it from long beach mitsubishi and they didn't know what the guy did to it in terms of aftermarket parts. They said the mechanic would let me know but the two times I went there he wasn't there.

It definately looks like the stock muffler but sure doesn't sound like it. I'm not too worried about the loud sound, I just don't like the ricey sound. I take it the RRM axle back sounds good, right? I mean, they wouldn't produce it if it sounded ricey. I took a look at some videos on youtube and it definately sounds nice. Well worth the $300 I assume.

So far I know it has a custom exhaust, RRM CAI, slotted rotors in the front and cross drilled rotors in the back a long with a new clutch.
