which is louder?

sorry guys but yes this is aNOTHER intake question...but no its not on which is better. i ordered my injen cai and it should be arriving tomarow but i was curious as to which is louder, the short ram or the cold air. i heard that you can hear the short ram a lot more, almost sounds like a spooling sound while others have said the cai sounds louder because there is more piping. just a curiosity question soo please dont bash

+1 on the CAI being louder

When I first put it on, I was hard-pressed for time( I have never taken my bumper off and can get my CAI on in under 5 minutes) and thought I could just throw the SRI part on, go pick up my GF and then come back and finish the install. Went about 1/4 mile down the road, and didn't hear or feel much difference so pulled the e-brake, went back, finished the install, and picked up my GF fashionably late, with one very more mean sounding RA

You dont need to take no bumper off to fit an Injen in.... I didnt even have to raise it, stock suspension when I installed FYI...just a lot of reading so I coulndt get nothing wrong....LOL, like if it was a science

But yes Injen is louder, but only if you floor it..... Especially after 6k, it makes this MARVELOUS sound....you'll remember that word...trust me

Injen setup as a CAI makes a very loud whisling whooshing sound from 2500-3500, then again above 6000, sounds fantastic.

Redline is 6500, rev limit is around 6700, and it's fine to hit the redline. If it wasn't, they would've set the rev limiter lower.

Ok, so to add my input on air intakes. I just bought the RRM SRI And the RRM Cat-back. I put on the SRI as soon as i got it, and waited a little bit on the cat back because i was pressed for time. The short ram was a breeze to install, and as soon as i turned on my engine i could hear a difference. Then when i reved and hit mivec i doubled in sound and sounded almost like a spooling turbo. The filter is HUGE and is the biggest one they could fit behind the battery. The sound was not the only thing that changed. The Hp and TQ gains were very noticable and they were more evident after i installed the cat back (which also sounds amazing)
Just my input. Great job RRM

Exclamation

CAI is louder, but SRI is not to far behind in sound.
