Converting automatic to standard?
What you can do, is research your area and see if there's a place that does performance torque converters. the torque converter is a an automatic tranny part. and stock, its usually made for smooth driving. if you get it replaced with a torque converter made to exploit your cars horsepower, itll be better than a skilled driver with the same car manual. i think torque converters are about a grand or two. a lot better than converting it to manual.

Well where did the Evo come from? It had to come from some where.. It's always possible if he works at a dealership he got his first. Maybe he drove it over the border? who knows. How about next time Im sitting beside him at the intersection i'll ask him before he smokes me off the line?
(I end up beside this car a lot)

i know here in california, theres a shop in fullerton down south by hollywood that does performance torque converters. i live in the monterey bay, so thats kind of a mission to get out there. its like a 6 hour drive for me.
yeah same here. then i saw these siick trans ams that were auto with after market torque converters. those things teared. killed a modded evo by like 5 car lengths in the quarter mile.
wow thats pretty far from me lol. im out in michigan, umm how does a performance torque converter work anyways?
Its called a stall, What it does is that, lets say you get a 3000 stall. When your at the line you rev it up to 2800rpm's then once you reach 3000rpm's everything catches(like a clutch) then it launches.. They make some big stalls and small ones All determines on what kinda driving the cars going to be doing
