as much as you can do, and although I am sure it doesn't matter to him(Mr bummville) anymore we all appreciate the gesture.

sorry to hear about your staffing woes, but you still aren't convincing me. It's much smarter to hire someone off the street, train them properly, and let them do a good job than it is to let customers walk because you can't get your **** together. and obviously I am not speaking about RPW, or even tearstone at this point, it's more of a rant on good business practices. so /rant

I hear you on the good business practices... it is getting harder and harder to find a business that can fully service there customers... and due to the massive mining boom here in Western Australia people are leaving many long term business without trades people or even apprentices as an example an average wage in moost business will be about $40k - $60k the mine sites are paying a starting rate for Johnny T.A $130k plus it is a fly in fly out all expenses paid... The Asian demand for out iron and steel is incrediable - it is good for our very booming economy but when it breaks and people come back home there will be no small business for these people to go back to we even have teachers going to the mine sites our states unemployment number is something like 0.02% there is no unemployed people here to employ Perth has atotal population of 1million I think I know that the latest sensus report stated that W.A has nearly 1.8million we just don't have a great population to draw from we are in fact going thru some very tough times in trying to find people to come out and do things like house hold electrical work or plumbing it takes nearly 2 years for a house to get built

This is not in deffence of anyone or anything but to just give a little insight as to what it is like to live in the land down under we need more people to live here even the 1500 people that move over here each month are not staying in the places that we need them and they are usually retirees

Yeh - if I was looking for a job oversea's, get your visa and come to perth. Fully paid up with accomodation, your laughing. Worst of all we have been told that South Australia is also beginning to experience the same mining boom, so the two states of austalia with the lowest populations and furthest away from the rest of the country, are the ones drawing the largest population for labour.

Will be interesting when the two states start competing for the same labour force.

Meanwhile, back at home base - we just continue to do our best, find new staff as we can and keep working our way through things. Where we are getting so busy now is that all these people working on the mines earning big dollars, the number of vehicles being modified is just huge.

Its not uncommen to have a vehicle in a perth workshop now being worked on for 6 months at a time, and the average horsepower being produced from EVO's and other high hp cars is a minimun of 600hp at all four wheels or at least 700hp on the rear wheel drive cars.

hot in WA, and in parts(like darwin) very humid, but i think they are in perth IIRC so its more dry

for melbourne(a little colder i guess):
about 30-40 degree celcius would expect comin in summer
5-20 *C in winter

but they are more bush and open i think so maybe a bit more hotter in summer and cooler in winter
