For the most part it is a easy instillation. The bracket bolts up to the tranny, when you have the cai in place you will see where it goes. And for ease remove the left wheel it makes things easier for the filter install. After you have it installed double check clamps and make sure it is not rubbing on the lower rad hose or battery tray. After that reset the ECU and your good to go.

K well it's basically like this:

1. take out the stock air box. There is a long bolt that you're going to take out here, make sure you keep it as you are going to need it to connect the CAI to the clutch assembly. Move the MAF sensor aside and make sure you dont wreck it. Be careful with the bolts holding the the MAF as they have a tendency to strip.
2. Take out the batttery. I don't beleive this is necessary but highly suggested.
3. Jack up the car and take the passenger side under guard off. There is a panel between the engine bay and the fog light compartment, you're either going to need to cut a hole to fit the filter or you are going to need to just take it out. I personally just took it out as this was the easiest and it's not necessary.
4. The installation you bolt the CAI up where the clutch line slave modulator connects to the clutch assembly. take the bolt out of the right side of the slave cylinder and place the CAI hole between the slave cylinder and the clutch assembly. This is where you need that long bolt from the airbox. Make sure you dont tighten to hard or you will strip the the clutch assembly.
5. Finally, attach the CAI to the Intake manifold and attach the MAF to the CAI.
6. Replace the battery and the under guard, and start the car up. Let it run for about 5-10 minutes to let the ecu learn and enjoy your CAI!

Its your MAF, did you reconnect it? If you did that then what you're going to have to do is disconnect the negative terminal on your battery and leave it for about ten minutes, then reconnect it. This will reboot the ecu and every thing should work out. If not, I'm guessing you damaged your maf and you're going to need a new one.

There is one more possibility as well, If you put the filter of the CAI on too far it will block airflow and you will have the same problem. So if this is the issue pull the filter off the piping about half an inch or maybe a bit more and you should be good.
