i aquired the same issue after my install and it goes hand and hand with a bit of a rough idle there was a guy forget the user name but he had the same trouble and after taking it to mits they said that everything was fine...seems odd. i have noticed though that when it is colder out the cel goes away it was always on during the summer and cold days in the fall it would go and now that we are heading into winter up here and its getting chilly ive yet to see another cel but on the odd nice day it comes right back......just to be clear it idles rough for the first little bit if the car has been sitting for a while but it seems to go away it you give it a little throttle a couple times or you can just wait it out and let it do its thing

I installed my RRM CAI... didn't see a CEL for over a month. Then I saw one. Took it to autozone it was a p0171. Basically meant the MAF was having bad readings. Make sure your MAF is COMPLETELY seated into the hole on the CAI. If the O-Ring isn't seated you're going to have issues. Other than that, get some CRC MAF cleaner and take out your MAF and clean it well. Make sure everything is seated correctly. If it is, it might be something else. Get the code read so you know it's at least a p0171.

Check to see if the MAS is secure and no air can get through. Scan the code would be the best though.

Seriously, every modern car owner should have one of these. They make troubleshooting stuff like this easy and keeps people from having to make threads saying "I have a CEL what do I do??!!111!!" They're so cheap now and work with every car made since 1996, no excuse not to have one in your toolbox.
