Helps to jack up the car, what i do is just pull up onto a sidewalk and have the front end hang over the curb and just swap both out that way. I have luminics 3000K H3's in there now. I run them everytime my headlights are on and have yet to burn out in 3 years.... [knock on wood] I have run Silverstars, and a couple of knockoff brand ones that just burn out and the silverstars only last me like a year so I swapped over to some yellows for the winter and just never took em' out.

Here's my car as it sits now>
9007 Silverstar Ultra's (found them for 20$ so i bought like 3 sets..)
H3 3000K Luminics (I think that's what they're called)

The disadvantage of the second method would be that you'd lose the ability to turn them off while your headlights are on.
I've done some testing and found that the fog light switch is indeed a momentary switch and basically the foglight is controlled by the ECU. What you could do is just run a wire to ground straight to the relay of the foglight and it would allow you to bypass the switch altogether. Though the problem with that is you'll have to remember to turn off the foglights.

Thanks for the advice. Though I think I'll just leave it alone for now, because I don't know much about cars. If it truly bugs me that much Ill take it to my friend who knows more about cars and Ill get him to fix the fog lights. Otherwise Ill just learn to turn them on manually.

the esasiest way to by pass the ecu

hey guys im new in the forum. i got my fog lamps to turn on with the parking lights, high and low beams. the down part is that the stock button doesnt do anything and the indicator inside either. but when you turn off the car they go off and looks pretty cool when you activate and deactivate the alarm. all you need its a few feet of cable 16 gauge its what i used a 40 amp relay and a fuse just in case. i'e been using it like that for a month with no problems. i think thats the easiest way to bypass the ecm fog lamp control.

I AM SUCH A NOOB! This thread taught me how to turn on my fog lights. I didn't even know that button was to turn on the fog lights, I never even thought about it or pressed it LOL. In my defense I've only had my '04 RA for a month or two and until recently had been dealing with serious intake issues... Still, I don't know why I even admitted that..
