ziggy you don't understand how complicated it really is i will explain because i am at school and bored off my ***
first the engine
our car has a 4g94, essentially the most standard 4cyl engine there is. its comprable to a civic with out vtec. our engine has sohc and evo has dohc. thats the main difference between the 2. but if your talkin a turbo'd 4g63(evo engine) then thats another story. the engine mounts are compleatly different. so after you move those have fun getting your tranny to line up correctly inside the car. if you get that to work then you ge to redo the exhaust system. once thats done fix the entire ecu mess that you have created. and finally make sure your hood still closes lol.
now awd is a lil different
for awd you would need essentially an evo rearend. so buy that and take your entire rear end off put that on. now u need an awd tranny and lsd. now u need a drive shaft to feed some power to the rear diff and your good to go.
bell just rang g2g

but isnt the turbo off the evo just basically a turbo? i mean, if you want you can still make custom piping and all for the evo's turbo, right? shoot me if im wrong. iknow the exhaust manifold is different, but that can be made too.

Sure the Evo's turbo is like any other, but just taking the turbo off the car and putting it in a Lancer won't give you an Evo. You'd be better off with an RRM kit.
Evo parts do not an Evo make.
