Car runs perfect with CEL??

Hey guys, i just got a CAI and the Pully kit from RRM, they also installed it so i'm sure it was done perfectly. but my check engine light comes on after about a day (60miles) after i reset the computer. i did about a 20min idle after resetting the computer last time. i'm going to check the code at work tomarrow, but is it bad to drive with the light on if the car is running perfect?? i havn't had the car run better!

i always heard that a car runs in a safe mode when the light is on. that it runs rich or something. so if i run without a cat the light wont make a difference?

The Lean Code Came on because of Your CAI. It's been a debate whether it's good for the car since a tune is needed after most CAI install. A good Drop in Filter is the other way to go about it... sorry went off topic a bit but still useful info...

I think you're thinking of limp mode, and you would deff know if you were in it since the engine loses all its power and cant rev past 3k...

I have the same the problem its from CAI, the only thing is, is not good on your car if you listen to your car run at a low idle take off you can hear it ping in the motor, the minute i take mine off the ping is gone, i guess you could say its more of a spark knock,
