Congrats on the new car!
thanks, ill keep people that just enjoy anyones vehicle up to date. parts are by the dozen for this vehicle. no more just rrm this and that.

dont get my wrong, i loved waking up at 5 am to go to work and to sit in my sparco seat with a roll cage and having to crawl out of it every freaking day of my life. but i moved on to plastic leather seats and check engine lights.

It's not a bad car by any means, and for 12k it's certainly an affordable ride without costing you too much to change from the lancer. But in all honesty, if you HAVE to keep it in the ~12k mark I would have gotten an s2k or save up and go Evo. Cobalt is nice but it's definitely not a car that most people would like, but more the power to ya I always loved red!

under normal circumstances i'd have to say that AlvinHuyN is right about should've gotten a s2k but you have to remember that myfakeevo is/has gotten married and it is probably more tolerable of losing a cobalt rather than an s2k if the wife isn't that great of a driver

lol. ive actually driven many s2ks and i dont like them, there stock suspension is scary at 130, i felt like i was going to float off the road. however they do awesome donuts in intersections!

the interior is better on the ss without lsd. however it hops like a big pile of ****. it comes with a sunroof, and trunk space is amazing. i also have xm radio. i really recommend getting one with a lsd if you want to beat srt4s though.

oh and dont drive it in the snow you will die, like me!

No hate from me. Congrats on the car. Not many people can argue with the track numbers the new Cobalt Turbo' s are laying down. I understand your situation. I have been married for 3 years. Had a heavily modded BMW before the ralliart. Now I have to be responsible.

Those rims reveals it is the S/C older model. I thought you were getting the new SS.

Carlos

personally i didnt enjoy the turboed ss, i feel that they have pretty much maxed out the turbo that is on it now, while the supercharger has tons of potential. yeah its not great off the line but can do some really nice highway runs.
im not trying to argue or anything... i mean congrats on the new car but the SS supercharged has absolutly ZERO potential. It's by far the worst mod freindly car in the tuner style car world (srt, cobalt, evo, sti, r32 etc.) My car with just cams and TBE walks a freinds SS with the smallest pully available, meth injection, full exhaust, tune, 60 lb injectors, cold air intake, and a few other things.... he dynoed 260 on a dynojet yet the turboed ss dynos that stock... and with a mildy bigger turbo it dynoed 400 whp lol. ss supercharged cobalts cannot hold over 350 whp without going boom and thats a known fact..

my freinds cobalt traps 104-105 mph. my evo traps 114 mph and to be honest.. ive spent less money on my evo then he has on his cobalt including the actual price of the car... lol

then your friend has some major tuning issues, because with a 2.9 pulley, stage 2 belt, 60 injectors with harness, intake, and a proper tune you will put 260 to the wheels. and i suppose ill come back in the spring to prove that.

but either way lets go back to i only spent 12k for this car and not 25k. so i win.

hmmm
all this still makes me want to put aside my turboing progress and really get the ralliart S/c on the road and throwing down some mad numbers, but congrats and its a cool car deff not everyone has them at least around here, the only thing to me is they seems heavy for what they were trying to get at with the cobalt but the ecotech engine deff does have a bit of work that can be done to it but i dont think it will respond as well to mods as the ra does , Bang/for your buck wise. but good luck and congrats
