Question Problems after i start my car1

Hey i got a small problem, a few days ago i drove my car to my friends house and when i left his house my car started but almost died, and then later that night when i was getting gas i started the car and it died
(it started went up to 1k RPM and dropped to 800 to idle then choked out),
so when i restarted the car i reved it up to 2k and then everything was ok. and now i have the problem everyday.

My car starts right up in the morning and when its been sitting for a few hours but when i go to get gas, eat, wal-mart,ect. i have the problem starting my car.

my question is, has anybody had a problem like this? I changed my battery, checked my alternator, and it worked , and im still having problems.

any ideas what could be wrong? Starter , spark plugs, fuel probs.
