Unhappy help!!!!!

I have a 04 ra 2.4 lit
2nd gear @ 5,500 rpm
3rd gear @ 5,500 rpm

a squeal occurs and a decrease in acceleration...anyone can explain whats going on?

Are u saying that this 'squeal' happens at 5500 rpm's in 2nd gear and at 5500 rpm's in 3rd gear?

Do you have a check engine light?

we believe it is the belt since im hitting that 60,000 miles mark...
and yes rpms do continue to rise however the rate at which it rises decreases as well
and today it happened once more and now it happens at 5000 and i 1st it began at 5500 were as before it never did, also a burnt smell had entered the cabin this time

yes it does happend there but now it happens at 5000 and now also in first and no the cel does not come on
