Cool Oil Question

I read somewhere online that 20w30 or 40 is good for people that have done a balance shaft elimination kit on their engine. is this since thicker oil kinda controls the oil pressure?

I dont think so, since what actually dictates the oil pressure is the oil pump. What I think could be the reason for it is that when the engine vibrates a lot, it can become harder for the oil film to stay so since this type of oil is thicker, it's harder for the oil film to be removed from the cylinder walls, bearings, etc.

well oil pressure goes up when blocking oil holes for the bearings so thats one of the main factors as well as vibration. I took care of my vibrations with the motormounts.
