Why are all the hood for Lancer Evo style vents and why do none of the Evos have anything but the Evo style vents? It that vent just such the purfect answer.

Why not hood louvers like so many of the older cars and air colded VW's. Or the smooth buldges the push air back to the windshield area like the some of the GM pony cars?
I know some the Lancer owner have said they don't want to look like Evo clones it seems like the hood would be a good starting point.

I agree it would be cool to have some of the aftermarket companies like Seibon make some of the cool looking aftermarket vented hoods like they make for the Evo for the Lancer but it just wouldn't be worth it to them. Now that the new body style Ralliart and Lancer is out I just can't see anything coming out for ours either.

 

there was an evo 7 style lancer hood that i saw a while ago. i really liked it. i think the evo style hood from RRM looks hideous. kinda like the beak of a dinosaur.

 

accolade used to do the EVO7 style hood but dropped it a few years ago, maybe with enough requests they would start again
