I just took out my old NGK spark plugs and replaced them with E3's. I was wondering has anyone used these sparkplugs before because i was looking at some reviews on the E3's website and there were good and bad but some had said that there were miss fires or when you wanted to stick the pedal down it would misfire.

 

I was wondering the same thing??? I didnt know they made the for the evo yet.

 

well for Me i drive the RA and they have

for your evo, i believe L4 2.0L 1997cc there is cuz thats the size known for evo 9 if im correct. there is the E3.48 that is suppose to fit from my understanding

 

Multi-prong plugs are nothing but a gimmick and a waste of money. The OEM plugs are fantastic quality and last damn near 100k miles. I see no reason to run anything else, unless you need a colder plug for running a turbo or something.

 

So these shouldn;t be changed until around 100k?

 

thats what i have been told by fellow mechanics between 100-125k mark, mine were starting to look like not so good so figured might as well do it now with my other things to do on the car

I have had the e3 plugs for around 2 years now, I've been using them with my nitrous application.. No problems with them

 

Service manual says change them at 90k intervals, so somewhere around 90-100k~ish

Does anyone know if our spark plugs have a tappered of flat seat? I'm going to try and see if there are any (even slight) gains from indexing them.

 

^^Just for future reference and to answer my own question, our spark plugs are the flat seat type with the mandatory washer.
