tach and shift light help please?

i know this has been posted many times before, but i still havent found the answer that im looking for. ok i have every thing to my tach and shift light hooked up expect the green wire ( this goes to a tach signal) i want to wire it in at the ecu. i know that the wire that i need to go into at the ecu is green/white. the problem that im having is there are 2 green/white wires there and i dont know which one to use, and i dont want to mess anything up. if anyone has some pics, or could help me out i would greatly appreciate it!! like i said i know this has been posted many times but i cant find my answers or pics. thanks again!

I wired in a shift light and used the very schematic so kindly referenced here by Myszkewicz.

What you have to do is get at the ECU and actually look where the all wires enter that aluminum box. From the wire-entrance-pattern you can finally sort out which is pin 87 - I had to stare at it for several minutes while looking back and forth at the schematic.

Now, carefully cut away a short 1/4" length of the green/white plastic sheath to expose the copper wire - I did this several inches away from where that wire entered the ECU box. Now wrap the bare end of the shift light wire around this exposed length. Properly solder the connection then cover with electrical tape. Secure the ECU back where it belongs. Works like a charm.

I tried to take pics when I did it but there were so many wires in the way it all looked too confusing. Be patient, just follow my directions and you'll be fine.
