Tailight Help Needed ASAP!

My lights pointed out in my pic aren't working unless I tap them then they blink on.

My blinkers still work.. I removed the light and checked for any loose wiring and couldn't find anything and the bulbs looked fine.. Please let me know what could be the problem I don't feel like getting pulled over. Thanks.

replace the bulbs? my brother's car was like that and the bulbs were acting up. but once we replaced them w/ new ones didnt really have that problem. not really sure what it could be but that's how we fixed our situation

Seems like it's coming from that side of the car. Maybe the wiring or the bulbs as suggested above.

same thing happened to me, i couldnt figure it out, i checked all the wires for cuts n stuff running on the right side of my car and i could not find anything, i checked the fuses and the 10a fuse was blown, so i replaced it. when i started the car the brake lights worked so i tried turning the regular running lights on, and as soon as i flipped the switch the fuse blew again. so i decided to rewire the lights, i rewired the running light wires to the left side and spiced them in, and left the brake light wires in the origonal socket(didnt cut them) replaced the 10a fuse again and tried the brake lights, they worked perfectly and when i switched on the running lights they worked as they origonally did.
hope this helps!!!!!

I would've suggested checking the entire left hand side wiring harness, but a problem there shouldn't cause your left side license plate light to go out because if I recall correctly that's a separate setup. Check the connectors that the bulbs plug into, sometimes the copper prongs bend through the years and sometimes might just be a matter of the bulbs not touching them all the time. Grab a small screwdriver and try and pry them outwards.

If you're running LED's, not all of them will fit right as they're made by different companies hence giving them slightly different dimensions, I know that was the case with my license plate lights, and the "screwdriver fix" worked for that. Good luck.
