If I bought a rrm piggy back from someone, for my auto 04 ra, could I just put it on my car or is it car specific

 

The hardware is not car specific - the tune on the other hand might be. Really depends on your modifications and the previous owners modifications/tune

 

yeah i mean i just have a short ram and an axle back , nothing major

 

Depending on the date it was sold it may also need to be reflashed by RRM to update to the latest map. When I was looking into to doing this, I contacted RRM and sent them the ID number from the PB. Rob said it would need to be flashed which cost $40 not including the shipping there and back.

So I would suggest to get the ID number from the back and contact RRM on the details of said PB.
