Spotted on ebay: JDM EVO complete motor, $2500 if anyone needs one

Dont know enough to know if its a good deal, but i spotted this 45,000 mile JDM turbo engine and 5 speed awd trans. Thought maybe one of you wrenchers might like it

lol, if only i had 2500 and nuthin better to do with it.

anyone know if the jdm is better or worse? I know they had that 276hp thing for a long time

This 280hp thing in Japan was nothing more than a gentleman's agreement. Numbers on paper often showed 280hp, but real-world numbers were much higher (think of the R32 GTR... 280hp, really? http://www.jbskyline.net/R32/GTR/Specs/).

Lots of parts are damaged on that motor if you look at the pics closely. Looks like they ripped it out of the car and dropped it on the pallet from 5 feet away.
