i have a 04 ralliart with just about 111000. im still using the stock struts and when i was getting a tune up/ oil change, the mechanic said my rear strut was leaking and the rest looked ready to go. i have a quick few questions. should i order the kyb shocks from RR? and how hard/difficult is this install? should i take it in to a shop, or do it myself? and is this all im going to need?

 

Kyb struts but don't order from RR. You can find them elsewhere for cheaper

 

also should i replace my springs while doing this or just stick with the stock ones?

 

you could stick with your stock ones or you can upgrade to lowering springs since you're getting new struts anyway

 

what would you recommend for a fairly low price?

 

that is something i do not know. search it cause lowering springs has been a popular topic over the last few months

 

Well I replaced mine with KYB. They are cheap and can be found easily. I recommend you to buy OEM if you can pay before spending on the KYB GR-2's

After i bought mine i heard tokico had reasonably priced shocks with better performance...but it was too late

 

I dont think Tokico makes struts for us, though?,, but I could be wrong too!

 

Yea im not sure if they make them, probably not. It was brought up by someone after I bought the KYB's

 

I've been searching and tokico does NOT have anything for us from what I see.

 

I just installed new struts / springs on my car. I went with the usual tien S springs with the KYB strts, as most people. No complaints at all.

 

i got my kyb struts and tien s tech's installed and they look great

 

My RA is making noises when it goes over bumps, sounds like something to do with my suspension. Does that mean its struts that need to be replaced?

 

is it more of a thud? or a squeak?

 

yeah tokico does not make for us. They are great on my eclipse though btw :P but yeah i too will be getting tein s-tech and kyb struts
