Thread pitch on shifter knob

I was looking to replace my shifter knob. Does anyone know, since the shifter is the same as in the evo, if the thread pitch is the same? I am getting one quick, and don't want to run out to the store to test it with bolts.

Thanks
Stephen

I was able to take the Greddy Heavy Weight shifter off my Talon and put it on the Lancer. As for the actual pitch I don't know but any aftermarket shift knob for a Mitsubishi will work.

yeah that is what I thought. But I actually went and checked it, and just using bolts I got a 10mm 1.25pitch to work. I am not really sure what the conversion is to determine what pitch it actually is. I was thinking that the 1.25 corresponded to 12.5 mm pitch but I talked to someone who said the evo pitch was 10. So again I basically need to find the conversion to find out what the actual pitch is.
