Inspection..
Inspection..
I went to get my car inspected the other day and i was fearing i would need a few things and that is the case. I need the following.
For the front
-Left outer tie rod end
-Right inner tie rod end
For the rear
-upper and lower outer bushings
The front is kinda a no brainer, I am going to replace both left and right inner and outer tie rod ends because it just makes sense to fix all of them now instead of later. Now for the back, I need some assistance. I'm guessing it needs the bushings closest to the hub...? If so, where can i purchase these bushings because i didnt find them on advance auto.com. Do i need to replace the whole arms? any and all help will be appreciated. oh and i am at about 126,000 miles.
Thanks

I'm not following... what does he mean by "upper and lower outer bushings"? can you expand on that any more?
There are multiple bushings in the rear end suspension...inner, outer; upper, lower. Whatever you want to call them.

Print that off and take it to him and ask him to point out which ones he's talking about. I'm pretty sure no matter the case it'll have to be the entire arm or link you'll have to replace as i'm not aware of any replacement bushing kits that are available. That topic has been discussed in great depth before.

I believe the upper one is the bushings by 20 and 19 and the other one I know is the lower control arm. Im just gonna say screw it and replace just the arms and not worry about the upper one as I cannot find the bushings nor arm anywhere. But thanks for replying
thats what i didn't want to hear. But once dad and i start teardown, I'll inspect the upper arm. I really do not want to have to replace it also right now from lack of funds from being laid off. I know it definitely needs the lower one because the bushing is like not even there.
