Third Brake Light Removal

How would I go about removing the third brake light on my wing? I didn't want to mess it up by disconnecting the wrong thing. I want to tint it to match my tails.

when you disconnect it , tie a string to the connector (comes out from left side of spoiler) so that when you pull it out the string will come with it, so you can use it to pull the wire back through. there's 2 screws holding it in.

What Crans said. I took mine off once cause I thought about tinting it too. Thats probably the easiest way to go about it.

Well it didn't seem to me that the wires came out without breaking the connection so I just cut them and soldered them back on after I sprayed it. Came out decent looking maybe I'll put a pic up

My guess it was the grommet sealing into the trunk lid that was giving resistance. That or he didn't even disconnect the power supply hidden in the trunk lid

a little splicing never hurt anyone, in extreme cases it's even safe in aviation...most times though you have to run a whole new wire lol!

pics please!

Pics came out kinda blurry I guess just my phone. Oh and I know it's dirty I only washed the car two days ago... I'm either going to be getting back into an evo (9 or x) or upgrade the ralliart with things it deserves. If I can't get an evo you will see me a lot around this section of the forum lol

speaking of how the Ralliart should be...my end goal is to make mine how it should have came from the factory, worthy of the Ralliart badge...

Thanks I was trying to smoke it just enough to come close to matching the paint. I agree with the 2nd statement though these cars should of came with better options and sadly the aftermarket is rather pathetic. If I keep mine I will at some point try adding a turbo even though it is automatic
