I had one problem, but this was so dumb.

I burned the front ecu trying to achieve fog lights going on when I didn't have the normal lights on.

I freaked up and disconnected battery, then I installed it again but I forgot to fasten correctly the positive and negative terminals. I tried to crank, and it did very strange sound and some smoke came out of battery.

Try to see if your terminals are correctly clean and fasten them correctly. Have you made any modifications ?

Find the wires that go to the key switch. Determine which ones go to the starter relay and contact them with each other as the switch would in its operation.

When you checked the relay and starter, did the engine crank ?

I have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about

Rickylancer, I forgot to ask, is your car manual ?
If so, tape down the clutch pedal switch that prevents the car from starting and select neutral too as you try these suggested steps.

ok so i took my dash apart and took out all the plastics to my steering column and found out that it is smoking from the ignition.. were you put the key in and that is like a long cylinder and in the pack of that wires plug into a plastic black piece in back of were you put the key in... idk what that piece is called or is for but every time i switch it over it starts smoking, again it is the black plastic piece in the back of the ignition key part were the wires plug into. i believe they have to be the ignition wires.

Good job.
Do you have a multimeter ?
If so, disconnect the battery and do continuity checks on all of the wires in that plug with the key in the position that generates smoke.

A picture is worth a thousand words, would you post a few if you can please.

OR you can just get a new ignition switch as Luckiesralliart predicted a few posts ago.

btw, on mitsubishiparts.net its $58.76. I found it under "ELECTRICAL / IGNITION SYSTEM / IGNITION LOCK / IGNITION SWITCH", if that's what you need to have replaced. If you havent made a down payment on the part u ordered, maybe skip on it and buy one online to save a buck lol.
