Ohh craap help me please
I had one problem, but this was so dumb.
I burned the front ecu trying to achieve fog lights going on when I didn't have the normal lights on.
I freaked up and disconnected battery, then I installed it again but I forgot to fasten correctly the positive and negative terminals. I tried to crank, and it did very strange sound and some smoke came out of battery.
Try to see if your terminals are correctly clean and fasten them correctly. Have you made any modifications ?

When you checked the relay and starter, did the engine crank ?

I have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about

Rickylancer, I forgot to ask, is your car manual ?
If so, tape down the clutch pedal switch that prevents the car from starting and select neutral too as you try these suggested steps.

ok so i took my dash apart and took out all the plastics to my steering column and found out that it is smoking from the ignition.. were you put the key in and that is like a long cylinder and in the pack of that wires plug into a plastic black piece in back of were you put the key in... idk what that piece is called or is for but every time i switch it over it starts smoking, again it is the black plastic piece in the back of the ignition key part were the wires plug into. i believe they have to be the ignition wires.
Good job.
Do you have a multimeter ?
If so, disconnect the battery and do continuity checks on all of the wires in that plug with the key in the position that generates smoke.
A picture is worth a thousand words, would you post a few if you can please.
OR you can just get a new ignition switch as Luckiesralliart predicted a few posts ago.

ok so i took apart my dash and my steering column plastics and found out that none of the wires were burning or anything i unpluged everything and pput it back together, checking for signs of something burning or melting but there was nothing... when i pluged everything back up and tried to turn it on again and it did the whole not starting thing i found were the smoke is coming from. we have on our ignition were the key goes like a long cylinder shape metal piece and on the back of that is were the ignition wires go in with the ignition harness.. well the piece that the wires plug into is what is smoking it is a black plastice piece that seems to have like copper or something inside that from the inside or from the cppoer i supposed is smoking... i have no idea why and connot find the piece anywhere somebody please help me lol im afraid of it catching fire
Ok how do u post pictures up? Sorry i pressed the post button 2 and my computer was laggy lol... The wires are not wat is burning it is the back of the ignition itself the electrical part of it eith all the springs and everything in it but i already ordered a new one from mitsubishi it is 100$ though lol i almost cried when they told me but i need it befOre it burns down my whole car
btw, on mitsubishiparts.net its $58.76. I found it under "ELECTRICAL / IGNITION SYSTEM / IGNITION LOCK / IGNITION SWITCH", if that's what you need to have replaced. If you havent made a down payment on the part u ordered, maybe skip on it and buy one online to save a buck lol.
