Keyless entry question
Well my remote works when it feels like it, but that happens maybe 20% of the time, otherwise I use my key to unlock the driver door. I've searched the site and saw some people have the same issue. Just wondering if anyone has solved this problem? Also I read this.
Seems pretty simple to me. You connect pin 1 to pin 4 in the data port (under the dash by your right knee), put the key in the ignition, then press the hazard switch 6 times within 10 seconds. The doors should lock and unlock to tell you that the keyless system is ready to be programmed. Press the lock button on any remotes you want to program three times, and the doors should lock and unlock to tell you it worked. Once you've done all the remotes, remove the key and the wire connecting pins 1 & 4 in the data port, and you're done.
Should I have to do that to have it work? Or will nothing happen since its already programmed and I should check something else?

I'm going to actually try that, and if it works I will hail you crans with your wizardry.
Edit: well that didn't work hahaha onto more serious troubleshooters

Haha that was a serious suggestion! holding the remote under your chin and opening your mouth a little is supposed to increase the signal the strength/range. Basically turns your head into a conductor of sorts.
Used to do this all the time when I worked at a dealership to find cars in the middle of nowhere.
Have you considered replacing the remote?

Lmao I never heard of that. But replacing it, I would but I'm not sure how to go about it, purchasing from the stealer ship? Or eBay remote lol

it's the same reason why you get a clear picture while adjusting the "bunny ears" on your tv, but the picture goes away when you let go of them...we work as antennas
