Bad throw out bearing question

So my ToB started making noise a few weeks ago so when i would press the clutch in the noise would go away but now even when i press the clutch in i still hear the noise. Just wanted to know if that was normal or is it getting really bad? + when i drive threw 1-2nd gear its really loud

I have searched this topic everyone talks about ToB making noise when the clutch isnt pushed in but mine continues to do it when the clutch is pushed in.

mine started to make noise around 35k, it would do it as I let off the gas pedal during fast accelartion or pinning the gas pedal, but mostly during half assed shifts or dumping the clutch or lazy city driving, kinda a poping clunking noise. I changed the clutch at 51k to a ACT stage one, I dont remember the brand of ToB it came with but the noise is more frequent and loud. Dont know if it kept the stock one or not but that one seemed to be on the way to going bad, I also had to resurface my flywheel due to some heat spots. Check out this guys page he mentions a similar problem. http://www.modifiedcartrader.com/for-sale.aspx?i=25862

So how does one search in only the 04 to 06 ralliart forums and not all of the lancers?

Yeah finally i just got my clutch changed and it ended up being the input shaft bearing my car is at the trani shop right now. I gotta say tho hurts to pay for a hole clutch job and then for a transmission job so if u gotta do them both do it at the same time

Same thing happened to me. Had my clutch swapped and turned out to be bearings. A 350 dollar job turned to like 1800.

So is it just the input shaft bearing that fails here ? No need to blow apart the whole gearbox then ?
