Finally!

what is thunder gray, doesnt make squeaking or clunking noises when pushed down on the trunk and doesnt look slammed on the rear, lifted on the front?

MY CAR!.....

i wish i had pictures...but i cant find my camera..(lost it during moving)

before the rear left top of the fender was about flush maybe 1/2in from the wheel, and the right was about flush w/ the top of the tire...now both sides are about 1/2-1in over the tire...
the left side was sagging so low, the tire rubbed on the inner fender so much the anti-rust coating got rubbed off and buffed the metal to a show polish in about a 3in section....

replaced upper and lower control arms and the lateral links along w/ all the nuts and bolts(and got aligned after)...rides like a new car..(now i just need tires...the rears are bald on the inner edge from being so cambered in..)

stance is just about even front and rear now, i always thought all RAs had that normal ride height...(low rear, high front...)
now i found out it's really just worn out...unless my front is worn out too and sagging a bit...(i got new shocks about a year or so ago...~20kmi ago...so i would guess not tho...)

i did the lower control arms(the one the lower shock bolt mounts to and lower swaybar link bolts to), the upper control arm(the curved arm) and the trailing arm(the short arm, kinda looks like a dogbone)...(ps thanks for reminding me of the proper name of the trailing arm..lol)

both the trailing arm inner bolts were seized(the ones towards the inside of the car), and the left side outter trailing arm bolt(the one on the hub carrier, aka towards the outsude of the car)

took me about 4 hrs in a shop(im a mechanic for a living), w/hand and air tools, and i ran thru 3 of the "fat" cutting wheels(didint wanna use the torch since the fuel tank is about 3 inches away

ill see if i can get my wife to not laugh to death when i ask her to use her iphone to post up pics...only 2 ways i can get pics up rt now..both involve my wife's iphone...lol(i could bluetooth her pics from my phone, then post them...OR take pics w/ her phone, then post them..)

ill post pics up as soon as i can tho

ps: what's ASA rob?

*shrug*...i ordered from partsgeek.com for the 2 control arms and mitsubishiparts.net for all the hardware and the trailing arms
i know there was somebody or is somebody from mitsubishiparts.net around here somewhere on the forum but i couldnt find them quickly..and i was like w/e im saving $ anyway as it is...(only cost me ~$320 for all the parts w/ shipping, and w/ free installation and alignment...since i did it...)

ps heres the pics..
honestly the pictures make it looks like its still lifted on the front but if u see the car in person it looks almost even..like i said before it looks ~1/2 inch different..

I'll be doing this with my RA rather soon as well.

Aside from knowing I need to replace all the struts (front blew in winter, replaced those but their monroe.. and they suck..), rear sway bar end links, and tossing in some whiteline bushings, the "how come only your back end is lowered" questions are getting annoying real fast.

Can't wait til mine looks like yours. Looks good.

i have $ monroes in mine...i bought em when they had the "buy one get one free" sale...
so i was hoing i was gonna spend ~$200 for them...instead of ~$400

i ended up paying ~$450, kuzz i forgot to keep the box tops and in the end i actually spent more if i woulda got the KYB...but i only realized it about a week or so after i had tossed the boxes...so i was like...o well..too late now...(and i also got 4 strut mounts and 4 swaybar links while i was doing them, the mounts were ok...but i did break 3 of 4 links taking them off...lol)
