Seat Covers?
Seat Covers?
Has anybody purchased any seat covers and had good luck with them? Reason I ask is because i turned 16 at the beginning of August and my dad passed down his 5 speed ralliart to me and the back of the drivers seat has a few holes in it do to springs breaking and popping out. I would like to purchase the ones in the link down there but I don't want them to look baggy. Thanks.

When I bought my silver ralliart my springs were also busting out the drivers seat causing holes in it. what i did is cut them out and put about 10 zip ties in their places. i didnt cinch the zip ties down so tight that it squeezed the sides together, just enough to keep them in place. it works great as far as the seat not having any sag in your lower back area, but I still have the holes. I just constantly tell my girls not to mess with the holes.
I am interested in a repair. Cranswick, how did you go repairing the holes in the seat?

Same thing was happening to me when I first bought my RA. I had a few holes in the back of my seat where the springs had stabbed through it. I just opened it up and did what Crans did. Pulled out the old and twisted in some new. As red neck as the next step will sound its actually worked very well and you can hardly tell that the holes were ever there. I smoothed out the fabric where the hole was as best I could and put a piece of duck tape over the hole from the inside of the seat. Its held up for a couple years now and like I said no one one can really tell there was ever a hole there. Now if the holes were ripped and tore a bit my red neck fix may not work that well but its a cheap fix.
