don't fret man, it happens. just look for a used bumper and lip. Whatever things you need. Fix it when you can and don't sweat it till then.

i'll get these pics up quickly this time around..
i'm at work right now and i can't even focus..
i wanna go home and tend to my RA..
i just wanna get her all fixed up so i don't have to hear/feel/see her suffer..
i really love my RA

i was just telling my girlfriend that i'm never gonna let my RA go and i'm gonna pass her on to my future son..
but how am i gonna do that if i haven't even had her for a year and i already think she's gonna die..

i'm striving to get money to pay off all my debt and right when i'm debt-free, the first thing i'm doing is: OVERHAUL MY BELOVED RA

i wish i knew how to do all these repairs by myself..
i don't even know where to look for a used bumper that won't cost so much..
i looked under the rear of my RA and all i see are rusted bolts/nuts and nothing but cracked/missing plastic..
i was so devastated when this happened..
i never expected it to rip off like that..
i'll probably just fix it DIY style like what Garrett said about rigging it up for now and then when i'm ready to grab a new lip kit, i'll change it up completely..
that's not gonna be anytime soon though..

Look at body kits too. For replacement bumpers you could check kijijii, craigslist, ebay, local wreckers and any other place where someone might be selling parts. It will take a bit to find everything but eventually you will.

Plan: Remove Rear Lip

So as you all know, some punk hit me from behind and left a huge scar on my rear driver-side bumper and partially tore off my lip. I went to a local paint & body shop in my area and they quoted $360+ without refinishing the paint. They're just attaching the lip back onto the bumper. I said "WTF!"

So I have decided that I'm just going to go "lip-less" at the rear and maybe someday I'll be able to land a nice rear bumper + lip kit.

My upcoming project is the removal of my trashed rear lip. I know it might look somewhat stupid when I have it off but I seriously think it would look nicer than having this "zip-tied to the bumper" lip.

I would need some serious help on this...

And this time, I will actually post some pictures of the BEFORE & AFTER so you guys can see my progress because we all know that................

Cheers everyone!

how bad is it? some sheet metal and fiber glass should do the trick if the lip isn't completely ripped in half...

could be salvaged, would take a lot of work, but repainting a bumper from a wrecked RA, or OZ rally would be less painless...

yeah my rear looks so stupid with all those zip ties but it does the job and keeps my lip from falling off...
i really hope i can AT LEAST attach it firmly back onto the bumper.
but first things first...
my stereo head unit is still out of service...

I guess I'm misunderstanding what the **** happened. Based off of the pictures you have posted, the damage doesn't look to be that bad. Also, a similar thing happened to me a few years ago in my '06 RA; hit and run in front of my house. I paid the deducitble and had it fixed.

hey man!
how you been?
haven't seen you around here in a while!
well it doesn't look so bad as i'm a "PRO ZIP TIE BOY" lmfao!
but if i snip those 2 zip ties holding it together, the lip would literally fall to the floor...
and i know it's jokes that it took me 5 months to post up pics... sorry!
and yeah, hit&run = b**** move = sucks for us...
my girlfriend was the one that saw it first.
she was like "why is your bumper on the ground? did you do that? were you working on your car last night?"...
this was my response = -->-->-->-->-->-->-->
and then i posted a thread and this is what i got...

which was true ahahaha!
but yeah that's my story...
BTW! how's the Lancer GTS treating you?!?!

That sucks man. But a few weeks ago some guy took off my entire front bumper when I was parked outside my girlfriend's house. Hit and run as well and since I need to replace the whole bumper its gonna be $2000+ out of my own pocket.

!!!WHOAH!!!
i'm so sorry to hear that man...
what are you planning to do?
if you were anywhere near where i live, i would help you rebuild your front bumper.
let me know your plans and if i can help in any way, just let me know.
btw, how did that happen?
i see a scuff on the front driver side.
did he/she hit you from the front driver side and take the whole thing off?
was he/she driving a hummer/military vehicle or something?
i wonder what HIS/HER car looked like after he/she hit you...
keep in touch bro!

Dang... Seeing these pics reminds me of when my car was hit by a drunk driver... Sadest time for my RA I was in depression for about a month... Because of my car... lol When I saw it I stared at it for about 5 minutes then just went back to my room, laid down, and buried my head under a pillow. I was so mad I didn't know what else to do...

it was a sad sad day...
