Taking the wing off

I'm taking off my wing today and doing the "Trunk Hole Plugs" DIY by Flip

Just thought I'd say something about it in case someone wants to do the same. I'll try to take as many pics as possible so people can see what I did

Wish me luck!

I did this about a month ago...didnt do the 'Flip' plugs, but there is something alluring about a wingless car. Don't forget ...

Ive enjoyed my car being wingless now since the beginning of the year. I followed Flips directions but I didnt plug everything the same way he did. Just got some fur trees painted the tops white and dropped them in. No epoxy, nothing. They stay in there and you cant even notice them from a distance. The one thing I improvised on was big hole the wiring comes through. I couldnt find the plug flip used so I reused a rubber one that I think was on the inside of the trunk just put it on the outside covers the hole well.

Everyone is bugging me about getting my Evo wing finished now though. Even my girlfriend (who gets aggravated whenever I work on/talk about my car) was telling me I need to put my "bat-mobile" wing on again. Thats what she calls the evo wing. lmao!

Yes it will work. I have had my wing off for about a year now. All I did was get the furr trees from HomeDepo, painted them and plugged them in. None of them have falled out and I didn't use any type of epoxy.
