Super Bright LED's

Alright so I purchased a few new lights for my RA from superbrightleds.com and thought I'd share.

I got two 194 wedge LEDs for the license plate, two H3 LEDs for my fog lights, and one DE3175 for the interior/dome light all in white. I just left that the stock lights seem too yellow-orange and dim to me, especially for the interior. I just wanted the license plate lights for the looks, its just a cleaner look to me in my opinion.

The prices weren't too bad, you could say about an average price for LED lights, but from what I have read online, many people would recommend purchasing from this site. Shipping to Canada was average as well, approx. $7 which arrived in just over a week with no tracking.

I haven't installed the fog lights yet since it is -30 and blowing snow where I live but I will get pictures up and update when it warms up.

You can see the before and after:

I normally don't even take note of interior lights being on when I drive. Its not a whole lot brighter, but for my eyes its just a cleaner, clearer light for when I need to find something in my car.

Thanks for posting this. It gives it a much cleaner look! I know what I'll be ordering next

Did you notice the 'beam angle' specs on some of those? I feel like the dome light I have now has a very narrow beam angle. There is one that has a 130 degree beam angle but it doesn't come in natural white, only warm/cool white. Do you know which one you got?

Sorry for the long reply. The 194 wedge is a 360 degree angle since there are 5 LEDs on it (4 around and 1 on the tip). According to the site, the DE3175 dome light is a 30 degree angle.

I should also add that you can get much brighter DE3175 dome lights from the site, I chose to go with the less intense one because I wasn't sure of the fitment. Although I am quite happy with the light I bought, I'm sure the other, much brighter ones will fit just fine and I actually should have bought a brighter one for the interior.

I finally got around to putting the fog lights in so here are some pics of the before and after. Adjusting them will definitely be needed.

I definitely like the look a lot better and I find that the new lights are a tiny bit brighter, but more of just a cleaner, whiter look than stock. If you're going for something a lot brighter, I probably wouldn't look into these.

I did this for my headlights. I got a pair of nice white lights from PartSource for $20(no tax) had them on since last year August and they're still both nice and bright. They're just plugins (not sure what LED is as I didn't have time to Google lol) that replace our stock bulbs. Pretty cheap for something that makes my RA look sharper at night hehe. Just my 2cents

I've ordered a few LEDs off SBL and they're to me just okay. Not bright enough for my taste though lol. I ordered mine a while back from v-leds and they have served me well so far
