OK, the brakes thing is done I think because you guys, and many others like myself can argue this one to oblivion and back so lets just end the brakes thing now. I dont even remember how this all started, but lets say this, the cars compare well. Sentra is a little cheaper, but that is partially due to the fact it has been out now 3 model years, our car is still in its first year. And I only paid $16.2K for my RA and I am still happy every time I get in it. But now that this rediculous argument has transpired, I am going to go and test drive a Spec V, even though its ugly, and too small for me, just to see if the car is as fast as you say it is. I will be objective too. But personally, I bought the right car for me!!

Dont trip, I'm just giving you a hard time I have a couple friends who are your height/weight as well. They both are husky *** ****'s and they play football too. I'd still suggest the RA. Not just because that's why I have, and I feel obligated to say so, but because I test drove the Spec-V and didn't care for it. I also test drove the SRT-4, the newer Focus, an 03 Eclipse GTS and a few other crap cars and the RA really suprised me and was the car that reached out and caught my eye the most. So I went with it. I love the RA now. And as MitsuMichael just stated, I still have a big smile on my face every time I sit down in my car

Lets not forget about the Electronic Brake Distribution. The Ralliart is special. Normal cars have antilock systems that let off the brakes for all four wheels when slipage occurs. The ralliart can do each wheel individually.

FYI, the Brembo SE-R in the January Motor Trend comparison was unable to out stop the RA. It was close, but most people aren't professional drivers with mad threshhold braking skills.

Agreed. I think the ABS on my Cavalier did more harm than good.

Most of my driving in Atlanta is around 80-85 mph if traffic is doing the same. Turning over 4000 rpms at that speed in fifth gear is nuts. It is not that hard to downshift if you need to pass. Mitsu could have easily lowered that ratio.
What's the car rev at around 60-65MPH?

I ckecked out the RPM's at 60-65 and it went from just under 3000 to just over 3000. At these speeds I can pull around 29 to 30 MPG on the freeway(if I go that slow).

Seems like pretty standard rev range for a 5 speed 4 cylinder.
