Decent catbacks for 06 ralliart
Decent catbacks for 06 ralliart
Was just wondering if anyone knew of any decent catbacks for my ralliart, i dont got tons of money but can save, but if theres any decent cheap ones im not complaining lol
why do you want a cat back? if you don't have a lot of money, then a cat back should be on the bottom of your to-do list....buy a performance muffler, get the sound you want and be done with it...if you can save enough money for a cat-back, then buy a tune instead....

well i guess it doesnt have to be a cat back only reason i was searching cause i have a few buddies who were talking about it,im a newbie in the car world, what would be a good performance muffler? i dont want anything to loud but i want a nice decent sound and some increased power, my stock exhuast now doesnt sound bad with the intake but i want an upgraded one for the performance part really, my buddy was sayin how theres almost no point to have an intake without an upgraded exhaust,so thats my next step, but i dont really know what im looking for or doing lol, straght piping is pretty cheap but a little bit to loud for my liking
Doing a set of basic bolt-ons will give your butt dyno a boost. But you wont see any major differences in the car other than some new noises. If your serious about sticking with bolt-ons there are a few suggestions I can give you.
Cold air intake, lightweight crankshaft pulley, and if you want a muffler almost anything will make the car sound different. My car had a 3A Racing muffler (Autozone Brand) on it when i bought it, honestly I wish I wouldnt have messed with it because it sounded the best that way. I later replaced the crushed section of exhaust, and my cat with a straight pipe and it became god awful loud. So I put the stock muffler back on and it became raspy...
Once you get those things done just keep up with the maintenance and look for small things to upgrade as you go. Such as colder spark plugs, synthetic motor oil, quality air filter, bigger throttle body.
Then some day if you really want to get the most out of the car look into tuning it. There is a lot of info on here about tuning these cars. That will make a world of difference and really bring things to life.
As a side note. Upgrading the suspension on these cars really wakes them up. It should not be over looked because you'll be missing out on a lot of performance potential.

I agree with you tuning makes a bigger difference than just bolting stuff on. Along with getting the most out of those bolt ons.
But for someone who has claimed to be a "newbie to the car world" thats a pretty steep learning curve right off the bat. Someone who is new in my mind would be better off focusing on maintenance, learning what parts do what, and familiarizing themselves with the engine and chassis, before diving into the tuning stuff.
That was the logic behind my suggestion anyway.
