my phone is broken, I'm on a back up phone with all my non-sim card contacts not on it...not sure if you're in there still or not, i'll pm you my number...

day 1 not so good, test and tune was packed, plus they ran all the qualifiers tonight...so I only got 2 passes in...both low 14's...can't get my boost to stay at max...tapers off 4-5 psi...so I spike to 16-17psi, then it drops off to 12...not sure what the issue is, but I figure it's my wastegate or a boost leak...

Wish I could've been there. Decided to skip it since my car is in crappy condition. Did you do the autoX Crans?

yes, well I did max effort, in autox I placed 5th in DSM, if I had competed in Evo, I would have placed 10th...the only other FWD car I know of that was competing was a 4g eclipse GT that was competing in autox only, there was also a 2009 ralliart with an upgraded turbo...I was faster than both

my 1/4 mile times were not great...three 13.8's, a 13.9, a 14.0, a 14.2 etc. same as I was 2 years ago...I think I have a boost leak, or my boost controller isn't working...I couldn't hold more than 14psi no matter how much I turned up the controller...I don't know if my exhaust being too restrictive could cause that, or if the turbo was too small...not sure...I had it up to 16psi a few weeks ago...not sure what happened...I have some tinkering to do...

Excellent! 5th place is awesome considering the competition. And Im glad to see that your still getting into the 13s.

It is strange that your not getting full boost. Didnt you have an Exhaust leak the year we went? The manifold doesnt have any visible cracking does it? That log style looks like it gets really hot, could have possible formed some hairline cracking, maybe? As for the boost leak you've probably already seen something like this but i'll post it anyway, Cheap Boost Leak Tester.

I was kind of upset that I didnt get to go. But at the same time my car looks like crap right now. It needs a lot of work visually and mechanically before I'll be ready to show it off again. Good thing is, the wife and I kind of impulse purchased a Miata this weekend. So now we have a spare car. Plan for right now is to see if Nekkidlad can fix a bunch of issues with her Beetle. Then I'll probably put the RA back in the garage and try to get the 5speed swap done, then finish the turbo kit. So Im hoping to be there next year... "hoping." lol

yeah, our group didn't bring a compressor, and who wants to spend the shootout working on their car, when they know they won't win anything...lol...I ran what it gave me, and had a blast...arrived home under its own power just about 2 hours ago...hope the GTR driver that crashed is ok...he walked away from it, but never heard how he's doing after he went to the hospital...

I didn't see it, I was staging for time trials...I guess the motor blew up and spewed oil everywhere, got on the tires at probably 130+ mph...

I was up at the track all day Sunday! I saw you run in the afternoon Sunday Garrett. Ran a 14 but looked like a bad launch! Still sweet to see the RA running boosted. Hope we can connect up next year. I saw your guys tent but didn't see you standing around. I also missed that GTR crash. From what I have read on Facebook he is doing well. The car is pretty destroyed, but the drivers safety is all that matters.

was that my 14.2 when I red lit in the first round of bracket? lol. I tried getting as close to engaging the clutch as I could, but went a little too far, and jumped the light...it took me a split second to realize I red lit, and I was just like, **** it, dumped the clutch and went, wheel hop and all...hahaha.

I ran a 13.8 in my first pass for max effort, after each pass I turned up my boost controller, and some how progressively worked my way back into the 14's, lol. that's when I realized something was wrong...and then later sunday for time trials after the GTR crash, I ran a better 13.8 at 104mph...if I had traction I think I could get mid to low 13's...if I could get it to hold 16 or 18psi, with traction, I think I could trap at least a 12.99 I'd call it a 12 second car all day long if I could get that on a stock block.
